Dear brothers and sisters,
I believe we all remember when Scott shared about his sickness during his speech in the 30th Anniversary ceremony. The Greens received a further report from the doctor lately, saying Scott’s condition is getting worse and the doctor has ordered hospice care. Scott has two to three months likely. This news really broke my heart, and I believe will sadden you all.
Scott and Lynne were the founders and are still the heroes of faith to the Hong Kong Church, and good friends to many of us personally. They made an eternal impact on every one of our lives. Scott is a faithful servant of God. He dedicated his life to the dream for God and His kingdom and laid a strong foundation for the churches in China. He has fought a good fight for the Lord.
Lynne says, “We are doing very well with each other, cherishing each moment, and with God. I have promised to hold tight to Scott’s hand until Jesus grabs it and I must let go.”.
The Hong Kong Church will be eternally grateful to Scott and Lynne. Please keep on praying for Scott and the Greens’ family, for God to lead them to go through this time with faith and strength, for them to have peace and joy through their relationship with God, and for us to keep up the good work on the foundation they have laid for us.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day–and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” (2 Tim 4:7-8)
